Peaky Blinders: every series and every episode

Six series, 36 episodes, one week per episode. With a recap, a historical fact check and the view from Hamburg.

Home › The Ledger › Episode Guide

Peaky Blinders runs to six series of six episodes each — 36 episodes between 2013 and 2022, and since March 2026 the feature film The Immortal Man as well. Here we work our way through it week by week, one episode at a time.

Every article follows the same shape: what happens in the episode, what of it holds up historically and what the series compresses — and what of that world was to be found in the Hamburg of the same years. Because the twenties looked much the same here, only with different goods: Ringvereine instead of a street gang, a customs border instead of a betting shop.

Frequently asked questions

How many series and episodes does Peaky Blinders have?

Six series of six episodes each, 36 episodes in all, broadcast between 12 September 2013 and April 2022. The feature film The Immortal Man then continues the story — in cinemas from 6 March 2026, on Netflix from 20 March 2026.

In what order should you watch Peaky Blinders?

Chronologically from series 1 to 6, then the film. The series tells its story straight forwards, beginning in 1919 in Birmingham; each series jumps on a few years. Dropping in halfway is not worth it — the characters and their obligations build on one another.

When do the next articles appear?
